Missionary training is...

The first thought that comes to mind is exhausting! It takes a tremendous amount of time and effort to equip every day individuals to accomplish extraordinary exploits. Missionary training is a very important part of what we do as an organization and to us as missionary leaders.

Go To Nations hosts two new missionary trainings per year called MPO (Missionary Preparation & Orientation). This is a time for individuals to come and explore their missions call, and to discover all of the ways GTN can equip and support them in the process. It is a very extensive and in-depth training and for the past year or so, Chris has stepped into a hosting role which means we are usually the first ones to unlock the doors in the mornings and are there turning off the lights in the evenings.

We both spend many hours training the candidates, interviewing them, serving them, answering their questions, and couching them along the way. This year I added my catering skills to our workload and cooked and served 7 meals which feed up to 35 people each time. Needless to say, we wear ourselves out but we wouldn't have it any other way - well, maybe a few more hands to wash dishes or run an errand or two :)

New Missionaries Added to the Team

Short-term missions offers some great ministry opportunities for new missionaries, second career missionaries, or for missionaries who are in a season of transition, finishing college, or simply trying to discover their place in the Great Commission. We offer these missionaries oversight, mentorship, training, and partnership in stepping into the Lord's plans and purposes for their lives. Some may remain with us for many years to come, while others might remain with us for just a season. Whatever their needs may be, we are here to walk them through the process while mobilizing them and others to spread the Gospel to the nations.

Our team has now reached 21 people! Meet the newest additions:

Rosie, Durrell, Jim & Eliza, Jennifer, Joss & Samantha, Dr. Jim, and Tina
